Coronet Bay Smelt Fishing

For those of you looking for something different to do, you might want to think about going up to Coronet Bay and doing a little smelt jigging. I was up that way this past weekend and stopped by to see if anything was going on. There were just a hand fult of folks on the docks which generally means that things are a little on the slow side, but when I took a look in their buckets I was pleasantly surprised. Everyone had a respectable number of smelt in their buckets, and all good sized.

We have lots of Gamakatsu Smelt/Herring Jigs in stock and we'll be more than happy to show you how to rig up and exactly where you need to go.

Once you have your smelt back home you will be overjoyed with their table quality. They are in fact one of my favorite fish to eat.
