Salmon Fishing Marine Area 10 (seattle/bremerton) August 14th

We are seeing the end of the Chinook season in Marine Area 10 (Seattle/Bremerton) as we getting close to reaching our quota. As of Sunday, August 12th we have caught 3,934 of our 4,742 Chinook. With just a few over 800 fish left on the table will we make it though this next weekend or will be closed earlier? I suppose we will just have to wait and see.

The fishing has been quite good this past week, even with the tides the way they were. All the usual sports have been productive with the oil docks down to Boeing Creek, Jefferson Head and Apple Tree Point down to Kingston all producing good numbers of fish.

We have been seeing good numbers of resident Coho as well as a fair number of ocean Coho showing up in the catches. A few of the ocean Coho have been pushing the ten pound mark. Coho fishing will go until the end of September in Area 10 and we can retain both hatchery or wild fish.
