Steelhead Closing Tomorrow On Remaining Puget Sound Streams

Tomorrow, February 15th marks the last day of steelheading on Puget Sound streams. For the past two weeks the only areas left to fish were the terminal hatchery areas, where WDFW wanted to have the last of the hatchery fish harvested. Now it's a wait and see if we might possibly get a C & R fishery on a portion of the Skagit, Sauk and Suiattle Rivers sometime in March or April. Other than that it's time to take a road trip to the coast, Grays Harbor Streams or to the Southwest streams. There's still some good fishing to be had if you don't mind a drive.

Make sure to read your regulations well!
