Skykomish Winter Steelhead - November 25th, 2015

We are seeing some winter steelhead action in the Reiter Ponds section of the Skykomish since this past weekend. By all means the fishing has not been fast and furious, but at least we are seeing a few landed. Thanksgiving has alwasys been the kick off with the first winter steelhead of the season being caught. Seems we are right on schedule!

For those of you going up to the Sky in the next few days the river has only about 18 inches of vis above the Sultan due to some slides above Goldbar and the Sultan River has also been very colored up, accounting for very little visability below the mouth of the Sultan on the Skykomish.

For you boaters that are going to fish the High Bridge section down to Sultan that there are a number of changes to the river, so take it easy!

We have also heard of some winter fish being caught on the Cascade River out of Marblemount
