Skykomish Steelhead - June 27th

With the water levels on the Skykomish being as low as we have ever seen in most of our lifetimes the steelheading has been just about nonexistant on the river. There are a few steelhead in the upper portion of the river but they have been extremely skitish to say the least. The few fish that are being caught are by guys that have refined their techniques to the water conditions, meaning that they are using light lines, leaders and small baits.

With the extremely hot weather we have the last of snow pack will go to the way side and conditions will only get worse.
