Skagit River Sockeye Report For June 23, 2015

We have been getting in reports from the Skagit sockeye fishery since it opened a week ago. The fishing has improved slightly but is still not hot by any means. As the month goes on we should see continued improvement in this fishery with July being the peak of the run. Remember that this fishery will just run through the 15th of July at which time it will close. We have been hearing of fish caught every day though it will vary from day to day. Today the reports we had from Young's Bar in Mt. Vernon was not good at all with no fish caught this morning.

Ryan that works for me was up yesterday for some time and saw a few fish landed by the 20 or so guys plunking at Young's Bar.
