King Fishing Improves Slightly In Marine Area 9 & 10

This past week has seen an improvement in the Chinook fishing here in Marine Areas 9 & 10. Today we had some very good reports coming from a couple of areas. The Pilot Point area south of Point No Point had a very good bite on this morning's tide as did the Craven Rock area on the east side of Marrowstone Island. These were the areas which turned out the best reports while other popular areas provided just scratch fishing at best.

If you are wanting  a chance at local kings this season it would be best to get out there fairly quick as we are coming upon the peak of the Chinook migration in our areas and as we are under a catch guideline the fishery could be closed once the numbers are reached.
