Bonneville Shad Numbers Drop Like A Rock

It looks as if the shad fishing at Bonneville is just about through for the season. With numbers dropping quickly the past few days with just over 34,000 counted yesterday. There should be some fishing in the next week or so but don't think it will be anything like it was earlier this season. For those willing to drive a little more the area below John Day Dam would be a better choice for greater numbers. The Oregon side is the more productive side below this dam. We still have some shad darts let if you are in need of them, though the selection has been picked over.
