It has a light, responsive tip with a soft mid-section that allows you to make delicate casts with small lures or bait to spooky fish. The butt-section is still powerful so you can handle large fish. While it is designed with light-line applications in mind, you can still fish ten pound line for some of the smaller salmon species, which makes it a nice option for low-water fall fishing.
