The Chum Salmon Only salmon fishery in Marine Area 10 will close at the end of November. This closure is due to the impacts on immature Chinook. All salmon fishing will be closed in this area through January 31st, 2015.
Looks like we are not going to be seeing any blackmouth fishing this November in Marine Area 9. Impacts on immature blackmouth have been just too high to allow a fishery. Hopefully, the fishery will open on January 16th 2016...
Though there isn't much happening around our section of Puget Sound there are many opportunities for steelhead fishing in many Eastern Washington streams. Perhaps a road trip is in the works...
