Skagit River Sockeye Reports For June 20th, 2015

The Sockeye fishing on the Skagit has not been hot by any means but there are at least enough fish being caught that people are interested. The fishing will just improve as we go into the season. We had one of the customers stop by this afternoon and showed us a photo of him and his buddy with 5 nice Sockeye from this morning. With that kind of luck I hope they will be buying a lottery ticket. This was the best report I have heard from anyone so far this season. Most folks are happy if they get a single fish.

The traps on the Baker River have caught almot 200 as of yesterday which is a good sign this easly in the season. Generally, the greatest number trapped per day is aroung the 15th of July.
