Columbia River Shad

The numbers of shad going through Bonneville has been off the hook with number the past five days being from a low of 128,000 to over 212,000 in a single day. The fishing has been nothing short of outstanding for those venturing down. Though it is a 4 1/2 - 5 hour drive the fishing you will have will far that make up for the time and energy spent. We should continue to see outstanding numbers of fish for at least another 10 - 12 days before the fishing will start to slow a little. There have been just about 1.3 million shad through Bonneville so far this season.
